Breeder's column

The objective of breeding is a social, functional, healthy beauceron, who has the characteristic appearance of the breed. Breeding is small-scale but so are the parents carefully selected. The owners of my foster dogs are to be 100% committed. A certain combination is done only once. The owners want something unique and so do I. Therefore no "mass production" from me!

A perfect dog doesn’t exist, but once you’ve seen something alike, you won’t be satisfied with less – and that would be the goal. The most important thing is to find a home that’s suitable for the puppy! The camp and questionnaire are methods to help me finding correct pairs! And finally out of two fitting puppies you can pick the favorite :)
The litters will be slightly different, which means there are more utility-focused litters and again more visually balanced ones. The Beauceron is a very functional hobby dog and it has the qualities to participate in all service dog - genre activities. There are differences between litters but there can be major diversity within a litter, too. The goal is to find a suitable individual to everyone, depending on what kind of activities one’s planning to do! I can say that the most I love in dog is the nerve structure. Say, when you take good nerves, add little instinct and a fair amount of bravery, then we’re talking about the class of Beauceron as a utility dog. The society nowadays demands dogs to be welcoming and willing to please for making it easier to develop the dog further. It takes more time for Beauceron to develop, but it also lasts functional longer. Once it’s been learned, it stays in mind. We continue training with Slyan Andi, 9 years, after a few years brake. Let’s see if we get ourselves fit to compete next summer… once again. Slyan Amie is still competing in agility III-class.

SLYAN A-LITTER
Very good, healthy and even litter. The dogs are good of their utility qualities as well as for their appearance. They will be turning 10 years and all except one they’re alive and well. Slyan Asterix was put to sleep because of passing of his aged owner. He had already once changed home, so it was better for “Riksu” to go along his dear master. :(

SLYAN B-LITTER
Very functional and instinct rich litter! Excellent activity dogs here. Vivid individuals. Some are more sensitive, too. Some males are really strong for both their instinct and appearance. Levelled structurally, strong and big dogs. Hip joint displacement: Slyan Benziro E/E (D/D) and Slyan Byron had to be put to sleep, one of the hips was so bad. So very sad, otherwise wonderful dog and personality:( . No one from Slyan B-litter will be used to breeding.

SLYAN C-LITTER
Will be more like the A-litter. Beaucerons for utility and exhibition alike. I’m expecting functional, open and well - built offsprings. Cayenne’s educator is focusing especially on the utility features with a 30-year experience, so I wait for the upcoming litter with enthusiasm. One of the puppies is going to stay home for the joy of it’s “pa”!
